Biography
Dr. Roberto Manfredini is a Full Professor of Internal Medicine and former Director of the Department of Medical Sciences at the University of Ferrara, Italy. He graduated with honors in Medicine from the University of Ferrara in 1982 and later specialized in Endocrinology, Internal Medicine, and Cardiology. He also completed a PhD in Biomedicine at the University of Córdoba, Spain, in 2019. Throughout his career, Dr. Manfredini has held various roles in emergency care and academic medicine, becoming an Associate Professor in 2008, Full Professor in 2015, and leading the department from 2017 to 2019. He also gained international experience through fellowships in pediatric endocrinology at the NIH in Bethesda and diabetes research at the Texas Heart Center. Dr. Manfredini has an extensive research portfolio with over 1,100 scientific publications, more than 12,200 citations, and an H-index of 55. He is actively involved in several scientific societies, serves on editorial boards, and frequently reviews for leading medical journals.
